Seventh-graders visit ICOM

More than 40 students from Meridian Middle School and Lake Hazel Middle School learned about becoming physicians at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine — Idaho’s first medical school — on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

The group of seventh-graders had the opportunity to tour the campus, witness a simulation scenario on a high-fidelity manikin, and learn about osteopathic medicine.

As the first medical school in the state, ICOM is committed to community outreach, such as K-12 tours, to encourage young students to pursue careers in medicine.
