Krista Niezwaag Chosen as ICOM Student DO of the Year

Krista Niezwaag, OMS-II, has been chosen as Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Student DO of the Year.

Student-Doctor Niezwaag, who currently serves as President of ICOM’s Student Government Association (SGA), was nominated and chosen by a panel of her peers, along with a number of faculty members. 

A member of ICOM’s inaugural Class of 2022, Student-Doctor Niezwaag is a certified Physician Assistant (PA), earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), and is an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B). She holds a variety of leadership positions at the college and participates in numerous community service organizations, including the Red Cross and Homes of Living Hope. She also holds a number of professional affiliations with medical societies. 

Student-Doctor Niezwaag is currently working to initiate and develop community service opportunities for the students, faculty and staff at ICOM. She hopes these opportunities will create a culture of service at ICOM and throughout the local community.
