ICOM donates supplies to clinical partners in the fight against coronavirus

As the number of novel coronavirus cases continue to rise in the Gem State, the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) turned to its own inventory of medical supplies as a donation for its clinical partners on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.

The list of donated items include:

  • 8,400 gloves
  • 500 face masks
  • 205 disposable gowns
  • 70 disposable lab coats

“Many of ICOM’s clinical faculty are working hard providing patient care on the front line, and ICOM is committed to training the ‘healthcare heroes’ of tomorrow,” said Dr. Thomas J. Mohr, Dean and Chief Academic Officer of ICOM. “In an effort to do what we can to support the healthcare professionals dealing with this crisis on a daily basis, we scoured our campus-based stocks of personal protective equipment and delivered them to our clinical partners. We are so proud of everyone for doing their part to protect the health of our community and our nation.”
