Brian Connolly joined the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine in July of 2019 as a Campus Security Officer. He grew up in California, and is a recent transplant to the great state of Idaho.
Brian has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Brian served as a law enforcement officer beginning in 1985 and retiring in 2011. He worked as a patrol officer and field training officer for the city of Ventura, CA and a patrol officer for the city of Redding, CA. In 1999, he transferred to the Shasta County Marshal's Office where he worked as a Deputy Marshal, training officer, defensive tactics instructor, Marshal's Sergeant and the chief executive for the agency (the Marshal).
After retirement, Brian utilized his experience and knowledge by becoming a Law Enforcement Academy Training Officer for the Police Academy at Butte College in Oroville, CA, and as a Campus Safety Officer/Adjunct Instructor for Shasta College in Redding, CA. Brian still teaches online courses for both colleges from his home in Idaho.
Brian and his wife June enjoy hiking, fishing, RVing and living in Idaho. All three of their grown children and two grandchildren still live in California. Brian is very excited to join the team at ICOM and provide the quality service that will help the college achieve its mission.
