Mr. Cassidy joined ICOM in January 2017 as its first Chief Financial Officer

Born and raised in the suburbs west of Boston, Mass, he received Bachelors (Economics ) and MBA (Finance-magna cum laude) degrees from small private colleges in the greater Boston area. Within days of receiving his Bachelors degree, he inherited the family-owned residential real estate sales office in his hometown. Sold that business after 9 years as co-owner and day-to-day operating manager. Upon finishing his MBA work, Mr. Cassidy was hired by Coopers & Lybrand as a financial and compliance external auditor. He spent 11 years working in their Boston, MA, Austin, TX and San Jose, CA offices. Mr. Cassidy then spent more than four years as Internal Audit Director first at Tulane University and Medical Center (New Orleans) and the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, TX. Following his tenure there, he rejoined the newly merged Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Houston when the new firm started a nationwide higher education/academic medical center specific consulting practice. He sold and directed projects on more than 90 campuses of 70 colleges and universities across the US over the ensuing 9 years. Mr. Cassidy then became Chief Financial Officer at the Texas A&M University Engineering School campus in Doha, Qatar for the next four years. Mr. Cassidy returned to the US, becoming Vice President for Business Affairs at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Most recently, he served in several roles, including Vice President for Finance & Administration from October 2014 through December 2016 at Florida A&M University. As VP, he supervised the activities of Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Financial Reporting, Information Technology, Facilities Planning & Maintenance, Student Financial Aid and Students Accounts, and all University Auxiliary Operations.

Mr. Cassidy and his wife of 39 years, Cathy, have both a married son and daughter and two grandsons under 4 years old.
